Within my practice, I use lens-based media (photography and film) in combination with audio. I make portraits of minority groups and their environments with a colourful, cinematic, and documentary approach. With these portraits, I aim to share a realistic message that counteracts the stereotypes we are often confronted with. Especially because the influence of lens-based media on our imaging is significant, I want to use the same medium to challenge those stereotypes.

From my own background, I long for a change in the way we look at the people around us. I experience a lack of appreciation for the diversity in our society and see many perspectives and topics that remain underexposed. I am convinced that there is great value in connecting people with different backgrounds who may not often interact, but inevitably cross paths.

Besides my autonomous practice, I work as a freelance photographer and camerawoman.
